With VeraEdge
you can do anything today's most advanced smart homes can do. A Z-Wave
gateway allows you to control your smart home devices from a mobile
device or computer. It lets you schedule events based on motion or light
triggers. You will also be able to save your favorite temperature or
lighting settings and apply them with one click anytime.
This new model has some cool features like geo fencing which notifies the system when you're coming home. The controller will make sure you have just the right temperature in your bedroom or living room when you arrive. It will help you save energy by switching off all lights and unnecessary equipment when you leave. There are thousands of ways to make your home or office more secure and efficient. Vera is designed to let you experiment with all of them until you find the smartest way to live.
Your VeraEdge system can do many different things, depending on the accessories you add to it:
- Build a security system by adding door locks, door/window sensors, motion sensors, wireless video cameras, and sirens.
- Create an energy saving system with thermostats, light dimmers, and AC controllers.
- Set up a home safety monitoring system with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and flood detectors.
- Make your life more convenient by connecting garage door openers, light switches, and lawn sprinklers that operate automatically.
- Feel free to combine all these functions into one system!
VeraEdge controls all leading brands of Z-Wave sensors, locks, thermostats, cameras, switches and other devices so you don't have to worry about compatibility when selecting accessories. The manufacturer has significantly improved their Z-Wave Plus support since the first version of UI7 and they continue to release updates to keep up with the latest technology.

| Installation |
Plug the unit in and connect it to the Internet with the Ethernet cable provided in the box. Go to VeraControl's website and follow the step-by-step instructions to set up an account and register your controller. Make sure you follow the directions carefully. If you encounter any issues during this process, feel free to contact us or Vera directly (support@getvera.com).
If you come across a screen prompting you to manually enter the
serial number and mac address for the unit it is most likely because the
you have not updated the Vera's firmware during the setup process. If
you’ve missed that step you can always go back and perform the firmware
update or use this link: firmware.getvera.com
Another reason for the
screen to pop up might be that your Vera is not properly connected to
your router. Make sure all indicators on the Vera hub are lit up in
green. But when in doubt, you may always contact Vera Control - they
have access to all account information ever associated with a given unit
by its unique serial number.
Adding devices later is easy too with preconfigured settings for most Z-Wave products. If you can't pair a device, Vera will offer to unpair it first - complete this process to erase any configuration errors which might have occurred during previous pairing attempts.

FIBARO ZWave Sgl Switch InWall
The Fibaro Z-Wave Single Switch Controller is a wireless controller which can control appliances or lighting up to a maximum load of 2.5kW 10A.
- Control the ON-OFF function of a circuit remotely or using a wall switch
- Compatible with all Z-Wave networks
- Acts as a repeater expanding your Z-Wave network
- Wide range of compatibility with existing light fittings and does NOT require expensive cabling
The Fibaro Z-Wave Single Switch Controller is a smart Z-Wave controller capable of remotely operating your existing light fittings. It works with Z-Wave enabled controllers (AUS/NZ version) and can be controlled individually or as part of a group in a pre-configured Scene.
The device is designed to operate inside your wall socket and can be easily installed by a qualified electrician.
This Fibaro Z-Wave Single Switch Controller requires 3-wire (including neutral) installation and works with an AC (110-230V) or DC (24-60V) power supply.
The controller is also compatible with many popular BELL PRESS type light fittings including Clipsal IMPRESS and SATURN wall switches.
The Fibaro Z-Wave Single Switch Controller also features a secondary switch input which allows it to directly control other associated Z-Wave devices. This means that by turning the switch ON/OFF you can also turn other associated devices ON/OFF even if they are not physically connected to the same Fibaro module. It also enables you to control the local load as part of 2-way and multi-way lighting circuits.
This product integrates with all Australian certified (921.42MHz) Z-Wave controllers including:
- Vera 3/Lite
- Raspberry PI with RaZberry Card
- Fibaro Home Controller 2/Lite
- DHS Z-Wave Universal Remote Controller
- DHS Z-Wave Mini Remote Controller
Please check the maximum load before installing or operating.
This installation must be done by a certified electrician in Australia and New Zealand.
Before engaging an electrician, check that they provide an electrical compliance certificate.
For warranty claim you have to provide installation compliance certificate from your electrician.

LUA Programming
LUA is a programming (scripting) language and is commonly used in home automation controllers to enable users to create more complex control scenes than supported by the controller's Scene editor. The HC2's scene editor enables you to use a graphical-based editor or a LUA-based editor, whereas the HCL only supports a graphical editor.
We feel this is the most important difference between the two controllers - and one that you need to think carefully about.
LUA Scenes
Almost all automation in the Fibaro System is controlled by 'Scenes'. For instance these can make lights turn on when motion is detected at particular times of the day or make several things happen from one simple button press of a remote control. Most of these scenes can be created in Fibaro controller's excellent 'Graphical Scene Editor'. But some more complex scenes are actually much easier to create using a LUA script, and in some extreme cases could only be created using LUA.
LUA is a very useful feature to have, occasionally, a simple LUA script can solve an issue that would have required a complex graphical scene.
Scene Controllers
Some remote controls that act as 'Scene Controllers' need a LUA-based scene to work correctly in the Fibaro Controllers.
Virtual Devices
Virtual devices are what they sound like - devices in the Fibaro controller that aren't linked to physical devices. Virtual devices are very useful for controlling devices via other networks, such as AV equipment that can be controlled from your Wi-Fi/Ethernet system (HTTP). They are also useful to create a simple button in the Fibaro App that can control a number of scenes - quickly and easily.
· Scene and Device Control (LUA)
To create Virtual devices that control scenes you need to use LUA,
therefore, these types of Virtual Devices cannot be created in Home Center Lite.
·
Remote Control of 3rd Party Products (HTTP & IP)
Virtual Devices can be created that control products via the IP network
(Wi-Fi or Ethernet), via HTTP requests. These are fully supported in Home Center Lite as they use a different type of Virtual Device configuration and command protocol (HTTP Strings).

FIBARO Home Center 2 System
Quick Overview
It is not just an electronic device. It's also well designed, innovative and user friendly interface, featuring functions never seen before.
Product Highlights
HC2 YouTube video
It offers a non-invasive installation process, which eliminates the need to run meters of cables. Our miniaturized modules can be installed in any wall switch box, behind a light switch, roller blind switch, etc., and are compatible with every electrical system.
It is the only system available on the market capable of controlling LED lighting or fluorescent lights in electrical systems without a neutral wire (old-type electrical systems).
Fibaro devices do not connect permanently to building's infrastructure. So, if you wish to redecorate your apartment, take down some walls and change the interior design concept... It's not a problem. Just do it. Simply take out any given module from the wall and install it in a new location. Thanks to mesh network, the module will update its location and resume cooperation with remaining system components.
